Due to the significant impact they can have on society and the environment, FÉRIQUE Fund Management believes that environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues must be integrated into its investment decisions; it is therefore committed to constantly doing more in this area.
Developed in 2006, the FÉRIQUE Funds’ Responsible Investment Policy governing the exercise of proxy voting rights has made FÉRIQUE Fund Management one of the first financial companies in Quebec to address the issue of responsible investment. Since then, its commitment has grown. In 2011, it joined the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI). In 2016, FÉRIQUE Fund Management adopted a Responsible Investment Policy that defines the components of its responsible investment actions. In 2017, it signed the Declaration of Institutional Investors on Climate-Related Financial Risks and two years later it became a member of the Responsible Investment Association and a signatory to the Climate Action 100+ initiative.
The organization was among the first financial companies in Quebec to address the issue of responsible investment by developing its Responsible Investment Policy in April 2006, governing the exercise of the FÉRIQUE Funds’ proxy voting rights
In 2011, our commitment led us to become a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI). FÉRIQUE Fund Management is today part of a growing group of more than 1,500 signatory organizations located in nearly 60 countries.
FÉRIQUE Fund Management is proud to be among the inaugural signatories of the Declaration of Institutional Investors on Climate-Related Financial Risks.
FÉRIQUE Fund Management joined the Responsible Investment Association (RIA) as an Associate Member. Comprised of more than 300 institutional investors and investment professionals, the RIA is the Canadian industry association dedicated to promoting responsible investment.
FÉRIQUE Fund Management is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment, an initiative of the United Nations Secretary General, set up by the United Nations Environment Program Financial Initiative (UNEP FI) and the United Nations Global Compact. It is a set of six general principles (available in French only) of good conduct oriented towards responsible investment and therefore, which advocate the integration of ESG factors.
FÉRIQUE Fund Management joined the Responsible Investment Association (RIA) as an Associate Member in 2019. The RIA is the Canadian industry association dedicated to promoting responsible investment, that is, the integration of ESG factors in the selection and management of investments.
