Thi Hien Nguyen-Khac, M. Eng., MBA, CFA
Thi Hien Nguyen-Khac graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and a Masters in Engineering from McGill University. In 1987, she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Concordia University. She has also been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 1998. In 1975, she began her career as an engineer at Petrofina/Petro-Canada and held a number of positions in the company for nearly 15 years. In 1990, she became Vice President at waste management company Ecofix Canada. Starting in 1991, she shifted her focus to investment management companies, becoming Director, Technology & Development at SOQUIP and Director and Portfolio Manager, Asia with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s Global Equity Markets team. In 2006, this led to her appointment as Senior Portfolio Manager, Asia at Danish company Nordea, before she was recruited by Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in 2008 for the position of Deputy Head of Investment, Asia-ex-Japan.
Recently retired, Thi Hien Nguyen-Khac became a member of Gestion FÉRIQUE’s Investment Monitoring Committee in 2013, contributing with her wealth of engineering and global equity market knowledge and international portfolio management experience.
