The Management Fee Impact Calculator measures the effect of management fees on your investments.

You can compare any FÉRIQUE Fund with a competitor’s fund of the same category and visualize on the graph how higher management fees can significantly eat away the value of your investments at retirement.

All calculation criteria, except for management fees, are the same for both funds. You can compare as many funds as you wish and change the criteria to suit your needs. You can also print the results or send them in an email.

Following is a summary of the functions of the Management Fee Impact Calculator .

The default display when the calculator first appears is the value of one of the FÉRIQUE Funds. The line represents an initial amount of $10,000 invested at a 5% rate of return over a period of 20 years net of management fees charged by the FÉRIQUE Fund.

The base criteria are:
A $10,000 initial investment with no additional investment for a term of 20 years (current age of 40 and retirement age of 60).

You can customize the data by changing any of the criteria in the appropriate fields or by choosing from the options in the drop-down lists.

Moves the cursor to the next field.

Type in the dollar value of your initial investment, if any; the default value is $10,000 (you must remove the previous number; the system will not replace it.)

Type in the dollar value of any additional amount you wish to reinvest; the default value is $0. Select the frequency of Annual or Monthly for the additional reinvestment; the default value is Annual.

Type in your current age; the default value is 40.

Type in the age at which you intend to retire; the default value is 60.

Choose a fund from the drop-down list. The Management Fees column will automatically display the percentage rate for that fund. This rate represents the total management and operation fees as of December 31, 2005 expressed as an annualized percentage of the average daily net asset value over the year.

The system will automatically load a list of companies in the same category as the FÉRIQUE Fund you selected. Select a company from the drop-down list.

The system will automatically load a list of competing funds offered by the selected Company in the same category as the FÉRIQUE Fund you selected. Select a fund from the drop-down list. The Management Fees column will automatically display the percentage rate for that fund. Select the rate of return you expect from your investment, ranging between 0% and 20%, from the drop-down list; the default value is 5%.

Recalculates and updates the graph with your new criteria.

Prints the calculator and its content as displayed on the screen, to the default printer.

Opens an email window with a text file containing the currently displayed information attached.

Displays this help file information.
